Usable energy is energy available in a final form that can be used directly to meet specific needs. These include heating, cooling, lighting or powering electrical appliances.
It is the energy effectively delivered to the consumer after taking into account losses resulting from energy conversion and transmission processes. For example, the heat generated by radiators in a house is a form of usable energy. In practice, usable energy reflects the level of energy efficiency of the systems that generate and convert it. Its amount depends on the efficiency of the equipment and technology used. This means that the better the device, the higher the energy value available to the end user.
