Energy efficiency

Energy efficiency in the context of buildings, means reducing energy demand, e.g. by using modern insulation materials, efficient heating systems or energy-efficient equipment (lighting, but also machinery or white goods). The aim of energy efficiency is not only to reduce operating costs, but also to reduce the negative impact of construction on the environment, e.g. by reducing CO2 emissions.
