Fermacell

Fermacell

Fermacell is a high-strength building board premium classes. Made from natural raw materials: gypsum and cellulose fibres extracted from recycled paper. The materials are mixed with water and subjected to a high-pressure pressing process, without the use of additional chemical binders or synthetic adhesives. After drying and edge treatment, the result is a uniform, environmentally friendly board with high density and very good performance properties.

Fermacell panels combine the functions of several traditional materials - they act as load-bearing, fire protection and insulation. They are characterised by excellent impact, moisture and fire resistance (classified as non-flammable), as well as very good sound insulation. In contrast to standard plasterboard, Fermacell can even be used in wet areas (e.g. bathrooms), after appropriate surface protection.

Due to its properties, Fermacell board is used in modern residential, commercial and industrial construction, in partition wall constructions, suspended ceilings, loft build-ups and also as a underlayy. These panels also allow heavy objects (e.g. kitchen cabinets) to be easily fixed without the need for special dowels or structural reinforcement.
