Carpentry joint is a special structural element, nowadays usually made of metal, which is used to join wooden elements in building structures such as roof trusses, gazebos, terraces or other frame structures. Joints for carpentry are available in a variety of shapes (angles, brackets, connectors, mounting plates), allowing wood to be joined stably at different angles and in different configurations. Their use increases the durability of the joints, makes it easier to assemble the structure and ensure its stability, and avoids complicated cuts in the wood that were traditionally made by hand in carpentry.
