NRO (Non-Roaming) is a fire classification, which specifies that a material or building component does not contribute to the spread of fire in the event of fire. Materials classified as NRO do not increase the intensity of a fire and do not transmit flames to adjacent structural elements. Due to these properties, materials NRO improve the fire safety of buildings by slowing down the development of a fire and enabling more effective evacuation of people in the affected area. NRO classification is required by fire regulations for many types of construction, particularly in public and multi-family buildings.
