Foundation slab

Foundation slab is a type of direct foundation in which the entire weight of the building is supported on a uniform, monolithic reinforced concrete slab. The slab is made on levelled and compacted ground, with an insulation layer and reinforcement to ensure that the loads are evenly distributed on the ground. This type of foundation is particularly recommended on soils with low bearing capacity or uneven settlement, as well as in areas with high groundwater levels.
