Blinds are window screens consisting of horizontal or vertical slats. They can be adjusted at different angles to control the amount of light and the degree of shading in a room. They can be installed both indoors and outdoors and their design diffuses light evenly. This improves the comfort of the room and reduces the effect of overheating on sunny days.
The interior versions of the blinds are usually made of aluminium, wood, plastic or fabric (in the case of pleated blinds). In contrast, external blinds (façade) blinds are manufactured exclusively from weather-resistant materials such as aluminium or steel. Blinds are controlled either manually with a string or a knob, or using an electric mechanism. Blinds, like roller blinds, can be managed automatically using systems such as Smart Home.
Thanks to their design, blinds allow for precise light control while providing privacy and improving the thermal insulation of the interior.
