As-built documentation is one of the most important elements of the investment process, as it is the actual record of how the building was constructed. It is a set of drawings, schedules and descriptions reflecting the state of the building on completion, together with all the changes made during construction to the construction project or executive.
In timber frame construction, as-built documentation includes, among other things:
- the actual layout of the timber structure,
- the course of the internal installations in the modules,
- materials used and insulation performance,
- arrangement of connections and fasteners modules.
This documentation forms the basis for the acceptance of the building, the running of the operation, possible repairs and further expansion or modernisation of the facility.
