Single-storey house

Single-storey house is a residential building consisting of one above-ground storey, i.e. the ground floor, without an additional usable storey. It may have a non-utilitarian or usable attic, which, however, is not considered a full storey. Single-storey houses are characterised by a staggered spatial layout, as all rooms are located on one level. This type of construction is often chosen for its convenience, especially for the elderly or those who have difficulties with stairs. However, single-storey houses require a larger plot area than storied houses, as their spatial layout takes up more space at ground level.
