Sealing of module connections

Sealing of module connections is the process of securing the joints between the prefabricated building sections to ensure air, water and acoustic tightness of the entire structure. In modular homes based on backbone technology is key stage of assembly, which determines the durability and comfort of the building.

Expansion tapes, flexible membranes, installation foams, hybrid sealants and special joint profiles are used to seal joints. The choice of material depends on the type of joint, anticipated loads and weather conditions.

Proper sealing of module connections prevents the formation of thermal bridges, noise and moisture penetration and heat loss. It is also an important part of quality control in the process of prefabrication and assembly of modular buildings.
