Installation passage

Installation passage is an opening or a special structural element that allows the safe passage of cables, pipes or ducts through walls, ceilings or other partitions of a building. Its purpose is to maintain the integrity and continuity of the partition while protecting the installation from mechanical damage, moisture or fire.

W in frame houses, penetrations are planned as early as the prefabrication stage. This avoids interference with the load-bearing structure and preserves the integrity of the insulation layers. They can take the form of sleeves, casing pipes or flexible cuffs pre-installed in walls and ceilings.

A properly constructed installation conduit facilitates the installation and subsequent servicing of the system. It also reduces the risk of thermal bridges and maintains the high quality and durability of the partition at the point of installation passage.
