In detached houses, they are most commonly found in living rooms and dining rooms, where they provide a view of the garden and allow natural light to enter. They can extend almost from floor to ceiling, and in the case of wide sliding doors, they create a convenient passageway to the terrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Large glazed areas<\/strong> They work particularly well in homes with an open-plan living area. A living room that opens onto the garden feels more spacious, even if the building itself isn\u2019t very large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The direction in which the windows face is also significant. <strong>South-facing windows<\/strong> They allow natural light to enter for much of the day, but in summer they can cause the interior to overheat. The afternoon sun streaming in through <strong>west-facing windows<\/strong>. That is why, in the case of large glass surfaces, it is worth planning for external roller blinds, fa\u00e7ade blinds or other solutions to limit the heating up of rooms from the outset.
