Staging of construction

Staging of construction is the planned division of the construction process into successive implementation phases. This allows the work to be progressively carried out according to schedule, budget and available resources.

These stages may include, but are not limited to

  • earthworks and foundation work,
  • erection of the superstructure and construction of the roof,
  • installation of joinery and fittings,
  • interior finishing and landscaping.

Phasing allows for better control over the costs and logistics of the investment, and also makes it easier to finance the construction by instalments or credit. When it comes to modular homes and prefabricated individual stages can be further optimised by transferring some of the work to the production site. Well-planned phasing is very important for timely execution and reducing the risk of delays or execution errors.
