KVH wood it's Structural solid wood (German: Konstruktionsvollholz), manufactured from high-quality softwood (usually spruce), chamber-dried and four-sided planed.
It is characterised by its dimensional stability, low moisture content (up to 15%) and lack of internal stresses. This minimises the risk of twisting of the wood and cracking during use. KVH elements are joined in lengths by micro-dovetails, resulting in much longer lengths than traditional structural timber.
KVH timber meets stringent quality standards, requires no chemical impregnation and is widely used in timber frame construction and in roof and floor structures. Due to its precise processing and predictable physical properties, KVH significantly reduces assembly time and facilitates prefabrication.
