Passive house

Passive house is a facility with very low energy requirements for heating and cooling, designed to maximise the use of natural heat sources, daylight and ventilation.

Features:

  • excellent thermal insulation,
  • high airtightness,
  • no thermal bridges,
  • the use of mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (recuperation).

The correct positioning in relation to the world, the compactness of the building and the use of windows with a very low heat transfer coefficient are essential. The standard of a passive building is determined by the specific energy consumption indicators. These are subject to change depending on current national and international standards.

The aim of this technology is to maximum reduction of energy consumption while maintaining high thermal comfort and low operating costs.
